Library is busy this school year with some of

- TEEN READ WEEK (TRW)-October
- The Winner of the 2008 Nutmeg Award in
both the teen and intermediate categories is The
Lightning Thief. Over 75
students in the district voted.

- The
library celebrated February, Black History Month by having a
Black
History Month Display and Question of the Day pertaining to Black
History
- During the month of March the library
is celebrating Women
in American History by displaying books on famous women, announcing
each day an important contribution of a famous woman, and "Question of
the Day" pertaining to
famous women in American History.
- We celebrated Read
Across America on March 5 by having all staff and students reading
during D Block, "SSR"(Seuss Says Read).

Stafford Library for all grades
- First booktalk was Nov. 19th from 1:50 to
3:00 for eighth graders,

Information
- The
library
has multiple copies of The
Parent's Homework Dictionary by Dan J. McLaughlin. The
books
are available for parents to check out. Please email Linda
Callahan,
callahanl@stafford.ctschool.net , to
make arrangements.
- The
Readers'Advisory book is available in the
library. The entries in the book are in the form of reviews,
summaries,
and story boards written by students from the SMS. Students may
refer
to the Readers' Advisory for book suggestions. In
addition, students may submit book reviews on books that are in
the
library's collection. Also, storyboards on books from the media
center were created by Miss Langevin's classes and are on display
on a READING WALL in the library.
