Reading
Information
A, B, C, F & D
Periods
Reading is
essential to all other subject areas and
is a necessary skill that helps us through the journey of life.
In order to make the reading experience a successful one the class has
been designed in a specific way. We will explore novels for class
chosen for their individual relevance as it applies to each student as
well as for their historical significance. The latter involves an
interdisciplinary approach to subject matter as it relates to other 8th
grade classes, principally American History. These books will be
read and discussed in class with an assignment at the completion of
each chapter as well as a final assignment at the end of the
novel.
