VISIT THE P.E.WEB PAGE

Students will receive a hand-out (study guide) for each unit and the tests are announced at least one day in advance. The first unit for the 6th graders does not involve a written test but rather a Cooperative Game Handout involving a home assignment.  This optional home assignment is due at the end of their term.
The Connecticut Fitness Test will be administered to the students during their first term, and we continue to work on fitness areas in class during warm-ups. Students are encouraged to practice the four components of the fitness test at home:  sit and reach(flexibility), push-ups (upper body strength), crunches (abdominal strength and endurance) and the one mile run (cardiovascular endurance).
*Extra credit:  Students will be given the opportunity to improve their grade in Physical Education by doing an extra-credit worksheet.  They are allowed to do up to 5 worksheets and each worksheet is worth 2% .  Each worksheet done properly will add 2 points to their final grade.  Worksheets are available on the PE web page or any time at school. They are due by the end of the term.
If you have any questions please call Mrs. Kritzman or Mr. Gracey at school between 7:00am and 2:30pm.
