Welcome!

        Students are expected to bring his/her covered textbook, notebook and a writing utensil to class every day.  Notebooks are necessary because they are excellent organizational and study tools.  Students are given daily vocabulary to define in their notebooks and are expected to review the terms daily.

        My students are assigned homework regularly.  Homework is meant to be an extension of a day's lesson and to help master new skills and concepts.  Homework is important to the learning process and needs to be completed when assigned.  In the event of an extended absence, additional time may be granted for the completion of missed assignments.  

        Grades will be determined through a variety of assessment techniques.  The students will take tests and quizzes along with completing various types of projects and group assignments.  The following criteria will be used to determine term grades:

                Homework/Notebook= 25%
                Quizzes= 25%                                               **Attendance is vital! Class participation will be factored when determining term grades.
                Tests and projects= 50%
