Growth and Development
Lastly, Growth and
Development is
a unit for all Seventh graders. The middle school years are a
time
of many changes, physically, mentally, and socially. The goal of
this unit is for students to become more aware of these changes, be
comfortable
with them and to realize they are normal. A focus of the unit is
relationships
and students compare healthy and unhealthy relationships.
Students will learn the
function
of the Reproductive Body Systems and identify similarities and
differences
between males and females. The anatomy of both systems is
compared
and in groups of two, students label diagrams.
