Homework Policy
Homework is an important part of the learning
experience;
reinforcing and expanding on concepts discussed in
class.
Please remember to
record
all homework assignments in your student planner and have your parents
review
your assignments. Students are responsible for
all
missed homework assignments. If students do not have their
homework
in class they will face the following consequences:
1.
If the student comes to class without his/her homework a “Homework
Notice” will immediately be sent home to be signed. The
student must
then
complete this missing work by the following school day and return it
for
partial credit.
2.
If the student is given at least 3 notices in one week, does not have
the
notice signed OR the missing work completed for the next day,
he/she will receive a detention and NO CREDIT for the assignment.
3. If a student consistently
fails
to complete homework, return notices, or serve detention,
a phone call will be made home to discuss the student behavior and create a plan
to
help him/her succeed in the area of homework.
