Course Overview: Anatomy and Physiology is intended to fully acquaint students with the structure and function of the human body. This course is recommended for self-motivated students who plan to study additional biology in college or for students interested in careers in the health field. Students registered in this course will be exposed to the in depth study of the structure and function of the human body. Memorization of facts is mandatory. Students’ grades are based upon homework, classwork, notebook, laboratory work, projects, and achievement on tests and quizzes.
Required Supplies: Textbook, notebook and writing utensil must be brought to class each day.

Course Overview
Biology
Course Overview: Biology is the study of life and living things. Throughout this course, students gain an understanding of patterns found among living structures. Topics to be discussed include scientific methods, the cell, human anatomy and physiology, genetics and heredity, evolution, ecology, classification, and plants. Students’ grades are based upon homework, classwork, notebook, laboratory work, projects, and achievement on tests and quizzes.
