KEYS TO
SUCCESS
In Class
and In Life!
Respect.
In all places in life you
must show respect. Please show respect to me, the classroom, to
your
classmates, and especially to yourself.
Promptness.
Everyone appreciates people being on time. Late arrival to class
interrupts the learning environment and is very distracting to me and
to your
classmates. Unexcused or chronic
tardiness will result in before or after school detention at my
discretion.
Preparedness.
You
must come to class ready to learn. Each
day you should have your text, a three-ringed binder and a writing
utensil. No other materials should be at your desk with you.
Appreciation.
Everyone
appreciates being appreciated. We all are unique and our diverse
backgrounds give us different perspectives on issues, resulting in
different
viewpoints. Learn to appreciate each member of the class,
regardless of his/her
point-of-view.
Safety.
Student
safety is my number one priority. I
take great measures to ensure a
safe and clean working environment. We must all do our part to
keep it
that way. Severe consequences, including elimination from all lab
activities,
will result if you cannot follow all safety procedures all
of the time.
Fairness
and Consistency.
I try to be fair and consistent as
possible to all my students. If you ever feel that you are not
being treated
fairly in class, see me privately
and we will work together to resolve any problems.
