This vocabulary syllabus covers all the assigned vocabulary from Vocabulary for the College-Bound Student. On the Fridays listed below, you will take a quiz on the specified sections. The quizzes will also cover board words and a few words from last year. All quizzes and tests are cumulative in nature. They will always include words studied before. SAT’s are this year. An extensive reading vocabulary is essential.

If school is in session on a Friday, and, for some reason, your class does not meet, then your quiz will be on the following Monday. The same applies if Friday is a snow day.

If you are absent (excused) on the day of the quiz, make up this quiz within five days. Failure to do so will result in a zero. Since you know the schedule for the entire year, you’ll take the quiz if you’re in school on Friday. Being absent the day(s) before and not having your book home is not an acceptable excuse.

As usual, you must correct the errors each week before the next quiz. Please put these corrections on a separate piece of paper and staple this correction sheet UNDER the quiz. Minus 10 for each word not corrected and/or missing. These quizzes do not leave my classroom. IF they do, then you will get a zero. You can check them in your folder before and after school.

Each section of words (for the most part) has exercises that go along with it. They’re due on Thursdays.
