College 12 Vocabulary Syllabus
Vocabulary for the College-Bound Student

Each student will receive a book, which will remain covered for the entire school year. Failure to comply with this request will result in a detention. You will be quizzed on the following vocabulary words on the Fridays indicated.  If no school is scheduled on a Friday, then the vocabulary quiz is on Thursday.  If, however, school is in session on any particular Friday, but your class does not meet (assembly, etc.), you will be quizzed on the words during the next class period.  Any quizzes missed because of snow days will also be made up during the next class period.  Quizzes that you miss do to an absence from class must be made up within FIVE DAYS  of the original date the quiz was given.
You are required to do the exercises indicated for each week.  The exercises are due on Wednesday.  They will count as a homework assignment.  From time to time, I will correct them completely and grade.
Each week corrections of the words missed on the quiz must be written out in order to receive credit for the quiz.  You will do the rewrites on a separate piece of paper with the date of the quiz clearly marked on top. The corrections are due before the quiz on the next Friday. (If you have no experience doing corrections, ask for a handout.)
