Performance of Stafford High School students in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) continued on a positive note. Nationally, all students who were members of the graduating class of 2002 and who took the SAT were reported on. While our participation rate continues to grow, scores on both the Verbal and Mathematics portions of the SAT also continue to rise. This is noteworthy, because higher participation rates usually are associated with lower scores.

Congratulations go to our students, in this case, the members of the class of 2002. They have "stepped up to the plate," worked hard during their time at Stafford High School, and achieved well on the SAT. Parents also should be congratulated for setting high expectations for their children. Finally, teachers and administrators who have worked hard to develop and present an enriched curriculum to our students are to be congratulated. We are making significant progress!
