Mission
| The
Stafford
Elementary School Library serves approximately 540 second through fifth
grade
students. The library has over 10,000 holdings, consisting of books,
videos, dvds, and
periodicals.
The mission of the library is to meet the informational, educational,
and
recreational needs of the students from the SES. The goal of
the
library program is to develop lifelong learners by using technology,
promoting
resource based learning, developing information literacy skills, and
fostering
a love of reading. In order to achieve these goals the library
is
committed
to working collaboratively with teachers to promote information
literacy
skills. The primary focus of the library's collection is to
provide
the most current resources to complement the curriculum. |

Online provides students
information from the New Book of Knowledge, Grolier Multimedia
Encyclopedia, and Encyclopedia Americana. Students may access
Grolier
Online from any Internet site in the school district and from home. If
this is your
