Post-Secondary

Planning for life after high school is a challenge that every student faces. It impacts the student’s choice of courses while in high school, the activities in which the students choose to participate, the shadowing experiences the students chooses to access, and many other aspects of the high school years.
Guidance counselors work with students to support them in developing post-secondary plans in several ways. Classroom presentations are delivered, assembly programs are held, a homeroom counsel program that provides students with mini-lessons is sponsored, and individual counseling sessions are conducted with students. Counselors are also available to meet with parents and conference via the telephone throughout this process.
