RE: Teen Driving—May 9, 2008
Dear Community Service Organizations,
SurvivetheDrive is an educational presentation that addresses teenage drivers and describes the facts that an error, major or minor, while driving, might result in the catastrophic consequences of a crash. Bob Green, a former high school teacher, and automotive specialist, operates the program, as a 501c (3) not-for-profit organization and has presented his program to over 60,000 teen drivers in Connecticut.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) data shows 300,000 teens are injured in car crashes each year and more than 3,500 are killed, making vehicle accidents the number one killer of young people. Our students, our youthful novice drivers, are the most vulnerable.
This presentation is offered to bolster community concern and school curricula about this community health concern.
Thank you in advance for your support.
