The Power of Rereading:

Rereading favorite books is very influential in students’ reading progress.  By having your child read the same book to you again and again, their fluency and accuracy improves.  When your child listens to you read the same books over and over, it reinforces a variety of reading skills including increased comprehension and shared insights.

While an adult may not enjoy hearing the same book repeatedly, a child may never tire from the familiar stories.   In fact, the more they hear or read a story, the more they LOVE it!
