Meet Your
Teacher!
Hi my name is Nora Claus and
I am very happy to be spending
my second year at West
Stafford School. I
would like to begin by telling you a little
about myself. I grew up in Willington, Connecticut
and I am currently living in Coventry. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human
Development and Family Studies which I received from the University of Connecticut
in 2004. While at Uconn, I was a member
of the Varsity Women’s Diving team and the Uconn Celtic Club. After Uconn, I went straight to Eastern
Connecticut State University where I received my Master’s degree and
Certification in Elementary Education.
Besides teaching first grade, I also teach springboard
diving, CPR and
lifeguarding classes. During the winter
I enjoy skiing, snowboarding and ice skating.
So I am always excited when it snows!
In the summer I enjoy going to the beach, swimming, and
camping. However, this summer I have spent
most of my
time working on fixing my house and working in the garden.
I hope everyone is excited about first grade
because I know we are going to have a great year!
