My name is Janice Gowdy and I am a reading teacher at West Stafford School.  I taught at the Borough School for the past 20 years.  I have taught pre-kindrgarten, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade, and have been a reading teacher for the past three years at the Borough School.  I am very excited to be in West Stafford School with new staff members and a beautiful new facility.  READ, READ, READ! It is so important to read to your child every day!  Once your child is able to read, share the book!  You read one page and let your child read the next.  Be sure to discuss the pictures and  what is happening in the story.  After reading the story  together talk about what happened in the story. It is important to read at least fifteen minutes every day.
