Will My Child Learn?
Each child is a unique person with their own pattern and time of growth, as well as individual personality, learning style and experiences. Our curriculum and personal interactions with each child are responsive to these differences. All areas of your child's development are addressed through activities that are concrete, real and relevant to the lives of young children. top Learning Centers There are a variety of learning centers in our classroom. Each area provides your child with an opportunity to explore and through this exploration develop and grow. top Block Center: Blocks help your child's cognitive development by allowing him/her to create images in concrete form. Your child will be exploring early concepts of geometry. While building with blocks he/she will be using both small and large muscles. top Dramatic Play Center During dramatic play your child has an opportunity to learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them. He/she is able to interact with others and solve problems. ![]() top Reading Center This is a comfortable quiet place for your child to come and relax. Here he/she will be able to expand his/her imaginagtion and gain information. Your child will learn the importance of print and develop a love for books. ![]() top Art Center At the art center your child will be able to express his/her feeelings and ideas. He/she will plan and experiment with a variety of art mediums. top Sensory Centers The sand, water, and light table provide opportunities for your child to experiment with a variety of sensory experiences. ![]() ![]() top Computer Your child will work with a partner on the computer. This will provide your child with an opportunity to work cooperatively with a friend. Problem solving, letter recognition, and counting are other skills addressed at the computer. ![]() top Specials Schedule
