Greetings! I am Mary Ellen Vigeant, and I am a certified reading and language arts consultant. I am proud to have worked in the Stafford Public School system since 1982, and I am especially delighted that my latest assignment has brought me to West Stafford School, where I work with first graders leading small reading groups and teaching Reading Recovery lessons to individual students. I look forward to working in partnership with you to help your child build those all-important early literacy skills! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have about fostering your child's reading and writing skills or about our language arts program. I welcome parents who would like to observe their child in a lesson. You may reach me by e-mail at vigeantm@stafford.ctschool.net or by phone at (860) 684-3181 x217. You can put these words on flash cards, create a concentration game with them, have your child write a story using as many of the words as he or she can, or build the words with magnetic letters.
